Multilingual Educators

Many of the educators at our Springvale centre are multilingual, allowing them to connect with children and assist families new to the area or extended family members who may be picking up and dropping off children.

Pets To Play With

Our Springvale centre always has a few resident animals to play with, teaching the children empathy and responsibility. We have our pet dogs regularly visit for lessons in behaving safely around dogs.

0 - 3 years program

We strive to provide a play-based curriculum that encourages learning in all developmental domains. Learning opportunities we provide include sensory experiences, construction, imaginative play, music and movement.

3-5 years funded kindergarten program

Our funded kindergarten program draws on multiple highly regarded early learning philosophies, combining them with incursions by experts in fields such as physical education, animals, dance and indigenous culture.

  • Our educators hold bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education, implement an approved educational program incorporating diverse approaches and theorists.

Our Springvale centre is located at 28 St Johns Avenue, Springvale, conveniently only 500m from the Springvale train station.

The Victorian Government provides funding to support children to access a kindergarten program in the year before they start school. The funding is a contribution towards meeting the cost of the kindergarten program and is based on the number of children enrolled in the program at Starfish Early Learning Centre. Each child is eligible to attend only one funded kindergarten for a single year.

Our Springvale Centre is open five days a week, Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6pm.

Our Springvale Centre services the following suburbs: Dandenong, Dingley Village, Keysborough, Clayton South and Clarinda. To confirm an exact list, please contact us.

Our Springvale Centre offers 6 rooms: 2 nurseries, 2 toddler rooms, one room for 3-year-olds, and one for 4-year-olds.
