The Importance Of Early Development

Our educational program recognises the importance of the early years for children’s development and strive to nurture their cognitive (thinking), affective (social/emotional/feeling) and psychomotor (physical/kinesthetic) domains of learning.

Qualified Educators

Our kindergarten teachers have obtained their bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and lead an educational program that draws from a range of approaches and theorists and is approved by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

The Three Teachers

Starfish recognises that the family, educators, and environment play crucial rolse in a child’s development. We strive to encourage these three teachers through a relational approach with our families and educators and providing a safe, enjoyable and enriching learning environment.

Our Centres employ kindergarten teachers who run educational programs in line with theEarly Years Learning and Development Framework.

Funding & Eligibility

Funding is a contribution towards meeting the cost of the program and is based on the number of children enrolled at the centre.

Every child is eligible to attend only one funded 3- and 4-year-old kindergarten program each. Kindergarten attendance is not compulsory, and your child is eligible for a funded year of kindergarten if they are three and/or four years old by the 30th of April of the given year.
